North Crowley Overpowers Lake Ridge in Thursday Night Rout
MANSFIELD, TX – After riding high with a statement win the week before, Lake Ridge ran into a buzzsaw on Thursday night. The North Crowley Panthers dominated from the opening whistle, rolling to a 62-17 victory and handing the Eagles their first home loss of the season.
By halftime, North Crowley had already built a commanding 41-10 lead, using a relentless offense and suffocating defense to silence the home crowd. Lake Ridge struggled to keep pace but found a few bright spots despite the lopsided score.
Eagles QB DeShawn Edwards battled to keep his team afloat, throwing for 163 yards and rushing for a touchdown, showcasing his dual-threat ability against one of the area’s toughest defenses.
The loss dropped Lake Ridge to 4-2, halting their early-season momentum. Meanwhile, North Crowley continued its hot streak, improving to 5-1 with back-to-back wins and another explosive offensive showing.
