Allen Stays Perfect, Blasts Plano 56-0 in Statement Win
PLANO – The Eagles didn’t just win Friday night – they dominated. Allen rolled past Plano 56-0, keeping their undefeated season intact and reminding District 5-6A that the road still runs through them.
Spriggs Sets the Tone on the Ground
From the opening whistle, Allen imposed its will. Running back Lyndon Spriggs carved up the Wildcats defense for a career-high 131 rushing yards and two scores on just 15 carries, slicing through holes all night.
Quarterback Jeremiah Daoud was equally efficient, torching Plano’s secondary with 265 passing yards and two touchdowns, averaging a gaudy 12 yards per attempt. His favorite target, Carter Harris, hauled in 94 yards worth of passes to keep the chains moving.
Eagles Leave No Doubt
By halftime, Allen had built a commanding lead, and the second half was more of the same – big plays, quick drives, and a defense that refused to give Plano any breathing room. The shutout was the Eagles’ first of the season and one of their most dominant defensive outings yet.
Big Picture
The win moves Allen to 4-0 and keeps them firmly in the mix for a district title. Plano, meanwhile, falls to 3-1 after its first blemish of the year but will have a chance to bounce back next week.
What’s Next
Allen heads to McKinney on Friday night in another key district clash. Plano will look to reset against Princeton – a team giving up nearly 40 points per game – which could be the perfect chance for the Wildcats’ offense to get rolling again.
