In a high-scoring affair featuring 1,031 yards of total offense, Oakland (TN) surged past the defending 4A State Champions with a dominant second half, outscoring them 39-20 to secure a comeback victory. Oakland (TN) capitalized on the explosive speed of TT Hill and Craig Tutt to amass over 500 yards of total offense. Hill led the charge with 22 carries for 202 yards and four touchdowns, all of which came in the second half. Tutt added another 18 carries for 194 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning 5-yard run with 1:34 remaining. The Patriots racked up 473 rushing yards overall.
Tutt’s late touchdown extended Oakland’s lead to 52-42, but Anna quickly responded with a 30-yard touchdown pass less than a minute later. Despite narrowing the gap, the Coyotes were out of timeouts and failed to recover the ensuing onside kick. Anna saw a standout performance from senior quarterback Ziondre Williams, who passed for 318 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for 110 yards and another score. Ronald Bell Jr. contributed significantly with 98 receiving yards. The Coyotes ultimately fell short, losing 52-48, and ending their 13-game winning streak that dated back to last season.
