Kimball Dominates Pine Bluff 36-6 Behind Strong Defensive Performance
On Saturday, the Pine Bluff Zebras suffered a tough 36-6 loss to the Kimball Knights, who capitalized on multiple turnovers to secure the dominant victory. Pine Bluff’s two quarterbacks struggled, combining for four interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns. Adding to their woes, the Zebras also fumbled twice, had a punt blocked, and were stopped on a critical fourth down attempt.
After a low-scoring outing in their previous game, Kimball made sure to light up the scoreboard this time around. The Knights were relentless, cruising past Pine Bluff on the road. Their defense was especially impressive, with the secondary snatching four interceptions. Markevan Cofer and Jerome Walker each contributed with crucial picks, while Mason Echols was a standout on defense, recording a sack, forcing two fumbles, and totaling seven tackles, including two for a loss.
With the win, Kimball evened their season record at 1-1. Pine Bluff, meanwhile, dropped to 0-2 and will look to regroup after back-to-back losses to start the season.
