Argyle Soars Past Colleyville Heritage in Offensive Showcase
The Argyle Eagles turned Friday night into a statement game, unleashing their biggest scoring output of the year in a 58-35 road win over Colleyville Heritage.
Gasperson in Command
Quarterback Maguire Gasperson ran the show with efficiency and power. He carved up the defense for 257 passing yards and two touchdowns, averaging a whopping 12.2 yards per attempt, and even added a rushing score of his own.
Backing him was Logan Rexroat, who bulldozed through tacklers for 157 yards and a touchdown on just 18 carries, good for 8.7 yards per rush. Together, they formed a one-two punch Colleyville never slowed down.
Defense Delivers Too
Argyle’s defense refused to stay quiet. Nathaniel Bruce and Mateus Lafayette both picked off passes, with Bruce flipping momentum by taking one all the way back for six.
Panthers Still Flash Firepower
Even in defeat, the Panthers found sparks behind quarterback Bodey Weaver, who refused to back down. Weaver posted 381 passing yards, four touchdowns, and an 84-yard rushing day with another score, completing nearly 80% of his throws. He’s now tossed at least three touchdowns in four straight games.
His favorite target was Connor Souphankhaisy, who racked up 104 receiving yards and a TD in the shootout.
Streaks and What’s Next

Argyle: now 3-1, winners of eight straight on the road, averaging nearly 46 points per game during that run.

Colleyville Heritage: drops to 2-3, suffering their second straight loss.
