South Oak Cliff (SOC) extended its impressive district win streak to 38 games with a commanding 57-7 victory over Woodrow Wilson. SOC has been a force this season, winning by an average of 44.5 points per game.
SOC’s victory over Woodrow Wilson was another in a series of lopsided wins for the Bears, who have now won five straight games, all by margins of at least 36 points. Mikail Trotter played a key role, rushing for 92 yards and two touchdowns on just nine carries, continuing his streak as a key indicator of SOC’s success—when Trotter scores at least two rushing touchdowns, the team is undefeated this season. Levon Morton also contributed two touchdowns, adding to the Bears’ offensive dominance.
Defensively, SOC was relentless, forcing two interceptions—one each by Rickey Giles and Jayden Shelton. Shelton, a standout on defense, has recorded six or more tackles in each of his last six games, dating back to last season. Kordae Houston was another defensive force, picking up two sacks and three total tackles.
With their latest win, SOC improved to 5-2, maintaining their momentum as they eye deeper postseason runs. Unfortunately for Wilson, their five-game winning streak came to an end, also moving their record to 5-2.
