On Saturday, the Skyline Raiders fell short against the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos, suffering a 28-14 defeat.
Despite the loss, Skyline managed to find the end zone twice, with touchdowns coming from Donta Ware and Elijah Barnes.
Skyline’s defense had its moments, particularly in the secondary, where they secured two interceptions. Sammy Shepherd and Elijah Barnes were responsible for those takeaways. Shepherd also made his presence felt on defense, recording five tackles and defending a pass alongside his interception.
Fort Bend Marshall’s standout performance came from Dazjhon Taylor, who racked up 101 rushing yards and two touchdowns, in addition to 36 receiving yards. His most impressive play was a 57-yard run. Kaeden Johnson also made a significant impact, rushing for 112 yards and scoring twice.
With this defeat, Skyline’s record drops to 1-1, while Fort Bend Marshall improves to 2-0, marking their second consecutive victory.
