Bobcats Claw Past Wildcats, Stay Perfect with 38-14 Statement Win
Celina turned Friday night’s clash with Sulphur Springs into a showcase of dominance, roaring to a 38-14 victory in a battle of unbeaten teams that wasn’t close for long. The Bobcats came out swinging, piling up 31 first-half points and leaving little doubt about the outcome before the break.
From the opening kick, Celina’s offense set the tone fast, physical, and relentless while the defense smothered any attempt by the Wildcats to gain momentum. By halftime, it was clear the Bobcats had full control of the “cat-fight.”
The win keeps Celina flawless at 7-0, while Sulphur Springs suffers its first setback of the season, slipping to 5-1.
Next up, both squads have dates with Paris though on different nights. Sulphur Springs will host the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. this Friday, and Celina will hit the road to face Paris at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 24.
The Bobcats continue to roll, and right now, there’s no slowing them down.
