Fort Bend Hightower Defeats Westfield 14-7 for Back-to-Back Wins
Fort Bend Hightower continued their winning ways on Friday night, edging out the Westfield Mustangs 14-7. This victory marks Hightower’s second consecutive win, following their previous success against Westfield.
Despite the loss, Westfield’s quarterback Miles Dent delivered a standout performance, rushing for 105 yards on 13 carries and passing for 165 yards and a touchdown. His primary target, Emmanuel Yancy, caught 82 of those passing yards and scored Westfield’s only touchdown.
The Mustangs, who had scored 34 points in their previous game, struggled to replicate that success against Hightower. This latest defeat serves as a reminder of their previous 14-9 loss to Hightower in September 2023.
Westfield’s defeat ended a five-game home winning streak dating back to last season, dropping their record to 1-1. Meanwhile, Fort Bend Hightower’s win improves their season record to 2-0.
