Weiss Extends Home Dominance with Commanding Win Over Anderson
PFLUGERVILLE — The Weiss Wolves closed their regular season with authority Thursday night, overpowering the Anderson Trojans 28-7 in a decisive victory that pushed their record to 8-2. The win marked Weiss’ seventh consecutive home victory, cementing their reputation as one of the toughest teams to beat on their own turf.
The Wolves continued their trend of dominance, notching their seventh win by at least 20 points this year.
Schad-to-Schad Connection Shines
Quarterback Jaxon Schad and receiver Dallas Schad were nearly unstoppable, connecting time and again to break down the Trojan defense. Dallas turned in a career-best performance with 95 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Jaxon orchestrated the offense with 234 passing yards and four total scores. The duo’s chemistry kept Weiss in rhythm and the scoreboard moving all night.
Defense Keeps Trojans in Check
After hanging 56 points in their previous outing, Anderson’s high-powered offense met its match against Weiss’s disciplined defensive unit. The Wolves applied consistent pressure up front and closed down big-play opportunities, limiting the Trojans to just one touchdown.
Anderson’s Highlights
Despite the loss, Jay Fullmer stood out for Anderson with 146 receiving yards and a touchdown, including a 66-yard breakaway catch that provided one of the Trojans’ few explosive moments. Caleb Crenshaw also contributed on the ground, churning out 102 rushing yards in a gritty effort that kept Anderson fighting.
The defeat ended Anderson’s unbeaten run, dropping them to 9-1 heading into postseason play.
Playoffs on Deck
Both teams will now turn their attention to the playoffs. Weiss will hit the road to face La Porte on Friday at 7 p.m., while Anderson will look to bounce back when it hosts Friendswood on November 15 at 3 p.m.
With the Wolves playing their best football at the right time, Weiss looks primed for a deep postseason push — and few teams will want to meet them on a night like this.
