The Coppell Cowboys continued their undefeated season on Friday with a commanding 55-28 victory over the Lewisville Farmers, maintaining their perfect record. The Cowboys have been dominant all year, with this win marking their fifth game with a victory margin of more than 20 points. Friday’s road win was no different, as they comfortably secured another blowout.
This victory extended Coppell’s road-winning streak to nine games, dating back to last season, and pushed their season record to an impressive 7-0. The Cowboys’ balanced offense and strong defense have been the driving forces behind their flawless campaign so far.
Coppell’s high-powered offense was on full display against Lewisville, overwhelming the Farmers early and never looking back. The Cowboys have consistently put up big numbers, and this game was no exception as they cruised past another opponent with ease.
Coming off a confidence-boosting 45-17 win over Flower Mound the previous week, Lewisville was looking to extend their three-game winning streak. However, Coppell proved to be too much for the Farmers, handing them a 55-28 defeat and snapping their streak.
Despite the loss, Lewisville’s defense showed some fight, particularly along the defensive line. Rhyan Sewell led the charge with three sacks, continuing his streak of five or more tackles in the last eight games dating back to last season. Sewell’s effort, along with the defense recording four total sacks, kept some pressure on Coppell’s quarterback, but it wasn’t enough to slow down the Cowboys’ potent offense.
