North Forney Looks to Stay Perfect in Trip to Tyler Legacy
The North Forney Falcons haven’t met a defense yet that could keep them under 31 points. On Friday, they’ll test that streak on the road against the Tyler Legacy Raiders in a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
Falcons Ground Attack Flying High
North Forney is fresh off a 35-16 win over Forney, a night where even their “lowest” scoring output of the season was more than enough. The backfield duo of Legend Bey and Andikan Asuquo fueled the charge.
-
Bey: 90 yards, 2 TDs on just 10 carries.
-
Asuquo: 124 yards, 1 TD on 13 carries – his best performance in nearly a year.
Together, they powered a rushing unit that pounded out 267 yards, marking the fifth straight game the Falcons have topped 215 on the ground.
Defense Making Plays Too
North Forney’s secondary didn’t sit idle either. Deuce Gilbert and Aayden Minger both came away with interceptions, continuing a trend of takeaway football. Gilbert, in particular, has been a ball hawk, snagging a pick in three consecutive outings.
Raiders Searching for Answers
Tyler Legacy enters off a tough night, falling 51-21 to Rockwall-Heath. Bright spots still emerged-DJ Owens hauled in 121 yards and two touchdowns, while Takaiden Brown matched him with 121 receiving yards of his own. But defensive struggles have plagued the Raiders, who now sit at 2-3 and have lost five straight road games dating back to last year.
Records, Rankings & Recent History
-
North Forney (5-0): Red-hot and climbing.
-
Tyler Legacy (2-3): Trying to rebound after a rocky stretch.
These two met last October, and the Falcons rolled to a 39-7 victory. This time, though, the game shifts to Tyler, where the Raiders will hope a change of scenery sparks an upset bid.
