Lone Star Lights Up the Scoreboard, Rolls Past Frisco in 55–35 Shootout
FRISCO, TX The Lone Star Rangers didn’t just win Thursday night – they put on a clinic. Behind a relentless offense and a swarming defensive front, the Rangers powered their way to a 55-35 victory over Frisco High, marking their sixth straight win to open the season.
The tone was set early. Lone Star’s offense came out firing, moving the ball with rhythm and pace, while their defense made life miserable for the Raccoons’ backfield. It was the kind of statement win that underscored why the Rangers have yet to play a close game this season every one of their victories has come by at least 20 points.
Defensive Pressure Fuels the Fire
Lone Star’s defensive front dominated the trenches, recording three sacks and consistently collapsing the pocket. Kaleb Tasby, Christopher Knauls, and Brody Fann each broke through for takedowns, setting the tone for a physical performance that disrupted Frisco’s rhythm all night.
Frisco Finds Bright Spots
Despite the loss, Brennen Lacey provided one of the game’s top highlights for Frisco. The senior broke loose for an 80-yard sprint that brought the home crowd to its feet, part of his 103-yard night on just six carries. Quarterback Lowery Asel also impressed, hauling in 86 receiving yards and showing why he’s one of the district’s most reliable playmakers.
Rangers Rolling Into Midseason Form
With the win, Lone Star remains undefeated at 6-0, backed by a defense that’s allowing just 11.7 points per game among the stingiest in the area. Frisco, meanwhile, suffered its first setback, falling to 3-1 but proving it can hang with elite competition.
Both teams now turn their focus to Sherman Frisco will host the Bearcats next Thursday, while Lone Star travels north to face them the following week.
The Rangers’ message to the rest of the district is clear: they’re not just winning they’re dominating.
