The Woodlands Rolls to 3-0 With Statement Win Over Grand Oaks
THE WOODLANDS — The Highlanders wasted no time putting their stamp on this rivalry Friday night. The Woodlands raced out to a 31-7 halftime lead and never looked back, cruising to a 45-14 victory over Grand Oaks to stay unbeaten on the season.
Highlanders Dominate Early
From the opening kick, The Woodlands dictated the pace, piling up points before Grand Oaks could settle in. By the break, the Highlanders were in full control, turning the second half into a victory lap on their home field.
Gause Shines in Defeat
Grand Oaks (2-1) found bright spots despite the loss, and most of them came courtesy of Keilan Gause. The Grizzlies’ workhorse back rushed for 112 yards and caught a touchdown, marking his third straight 100+ yard rushing game. Darnell Jackson Jr. added 84 receiving yards, showing he’s becoming a reliable target for the Grizzlies’ passing attack.
Streaks Continue
The win pushed The Woodlands’ record to 3-0 and extended their winning streak over Grand Oaks to six straight games. Grand Oaks, meanwhile, suffered its first loss of 2025.
