Panther Creek Tops Lake Dallas Again, Extends Win Streak to Three
The Lake Dallas Falcons couldn’t keep their momentum soaring on Thursday night, falling 31-13 to the Panther Creek Panthers in a rematch that once again went the Panthers’ way. Nearly a year after dropping a heartbreaker, 46-44, to the same squad, the Falcons were looking for payback but Panther Creek had other plans.
Senior leadership powered the Panthers to victory. Quarterback Graylyn Fry orchestrated the offense with poise, throwing for 221 yards and a touchdown, while running back Donovan Webb bullied his way to 101 rushing yards and a score to keep the chains moving.
Lake Dallas had bright spots in defeat, particularly from DJ Hicks, who turned in a strong performance with 94 receiving yards and a touchdown. But despite his efforts, the Falcons couldn’t find enough rhythm to mount a serious comeback.
The loss drops Lake Dallas to 4-3, while Panther Creek continues its hot streak, improving to 7-1 and notching its third straight win.
Both teams now set their sights on Aubrey. The Falcons will look to regroup at home against the Chaparrals on Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m., while the Panthers take their turn on the road a week later, facing Aubrey on Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m.
For Panther Creek, the climb continues and right now, the Panthers look built to stay on top.
