Duncanville opened the postseason looking every bit like a championship threat, steamrolling Rockwall-Heath in a 43 to 6 statement win on Friday night. The Panthers owned the game from the opening whistle, extending a season-long pattern of runaway victories. For a team already used to winning by wide margins, this one fit right in.
Yancey Puts On a Show
If anyone stole the spotlight, it was Trenton Yancey. The senior star turned the playoff stage into his personal showcase, slicing through the Hawks for 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns while adding 79 rushing yards and two more scores. It marked his biggest receiving output since early fall and one of the most complete performances of his career.
Ayson Theus added his own burst of electricity out of the backfield, breaking loose for 129 yards and keeping the chains moving all night.
Ground Game Overwhelms the Hawks
Duncanville’s rushing attack was relentless from start to finish. The Panthers piled up 373 yards on the ground, their largest total this season, rotating backs and leaning on a powerful offensive line that dominated the trenches. By the time the final quarter arrived, the Hawks had no answers left.
Panthers Keep Rolling
The victory pushed Duncanville to 9 and 1 and marked their eighth straight win. Their offensive rhythm has been rock steady during that streak, producing more than 39 points per game. Rockwall-Heath, meanwhile, watched a four-game home win streak come to an abrupt halt and fell to 8 and 4 on the season.
Duncanville now advances with plenty of momentum and a postseason message delivered loud and clear.
