Duncanville stepped into the postseason spotlight on Friday night and delivered the kind of performance expected from a team built for a deep run. The Panthers controlled the tempo, the trenches, and just about everything in between as they powered past Temple 35 to 14 in a convincing first-round win.
Offense Strikes in Heavy Waves
The Panthers spread the production across the roster, but the tone was set by the versatility of Trenton Yancey. The do-it-all playmaker hauled in 78 receiving yards, scored through the air, and added another touchdown on the ground. His biggest spark came on a 55-yard catch and sprint that flipped the field and ignited the sideline.
Ayson Theus provided the burst in the run game, piling up 57 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Every time he touched the ball, he pushed the Wildcats onto their heels.
Defense Dictates Everything
Temple never found room to breathe. Duncanville’s front punished the Wildcats at the line, stacking 4.5 sacks and controlling the backfield throughout the night.
KJ Ford played one of his best games of the season, beating blockers repeatedly and dropping Temple’s quarterback twice. His constant pressure wrecked drives before they ever had a chance to develop.
Panthers Keep Rolling
The victory stretched Duncanville’s winning streak to seven games and lifted the Panthers to 8 and 1. During that run, they have averaged nearly 39 points per outing while leaning on a defense that rarely gives an inch.
Temple, now 7 and 4, has lost two straight after entering November with momentum.
