In a highly anticipated matchup on Friday, the North Shore Mustangs (10-0) continued their undefeated season with a commanding 35-10 win over the Summer Creek Bulldogs (8-2). North Shore’s performance underscored their defensive and offensive strengths as they held the Bulldogs—who had previously scored over 31 points in each game this season—to just 10 points.
North Shore’s balanced offense was led by Kaleb Bailey, who excelled as a dual-threat, throwing for 175 yards and a touchdown with an impressive 78.6% completion rate, while also rushing for 83 yards and two touchdowns. Running back D’Andre Hardeman Jr. powered through the Bulldogs’ defensive line, contributing 101 rushing yards and a touchdown of his own. In total, North Shore amassed 206 rushing yards, dominating the ground game and outpacing Summer Creek’s mere 52 rushing yards.
While Summer Creek couldn’t keep up with North Shore’s relentless pace, their defense produced strong individual performances. Defensive standouts Chad Woodfork and Amontre Harris combined for seven sacks, and linebacker Josiah Pratt recorded nine tackles, including three for a loss, showcasing their resilience against a tough North Shore offense. But Summer Creek’s offense struggled to break through North Shore’s formidable defense, which has limited opponents to just 9 points per game this season.
With this victory, North Shore has now won eight games by 25 points or more, emphasizing their dominance throughout the season. Next, the Mustangs will host Deer Park on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. as they look to keep their momentum heading into the playoffs. Summer Creek, with an 8-2 record following this loss, will regroup to face Clear Falls at home on Friday at 7:00 p.m., hoping to get back on track and capitalize on Clear Falls’ four-game road winning streak.
