The game had its share of back-and-forth moments, with Aledo taking an early lead of 17-0, only to see Denton Ryan respond strongly, scoring 19 unanswered points.
Despite facing adversity and Hejny being intercepted three times, Aledo didn’t back down. They seized the opportunity in the game’s final moments, with Hejny making an electrifying 57-yard touchdown run in the last minute, putting Aledo ahead 25-19. This decisive play, coupled with a successful two-point conversion, secured the victory for the Bearcats.
Davhon Keys was a standout performer, showcasing his versatility on both offense and defense. He contributed significantly with touchdowns on offense, while his defensive performance included tackles, tackles for loss, an interception, and a fumble recovery.
Aledo now heads into their bye week with the District Championship in hand, gearing up for their next challenge against the Brewer Bears in their final regular-season game.
