West Mesquite Rides High with Statement Win Over Creekview
CARROLLTON West Mesquite rolled into Thursday night with confidence and rolled out with another emphatic victory. The Wranglers dominated from start to finish, overwhelming previously unbeaten Creekview 53-21 to extend their road win streak to three straight.
The win was nothing new for the Wranglers, who have made blowouts a weekly habit seven wins this season have come by at least 27 points.
Wranglers Set the Tone Early
From the opening kickoff, West Mesquite made it clear they weren’t there to share the spotlight. Their offense clicked on all cylinders, their defense suffocated Creekview’s rhythm, and the scoreboard told the story by halftime. The Wranglers imposed their will on both sides of the ball, building a lead that never came into question.
It’s the latest example of how balanced and relentless this West Mesquite team has become. Over their last three road games, they’ve given up just 11.3 points per contest, pairing defensive discipline with explosive offensive playmaking.
Creekview Fights in Defeat
Even in the loss, Creekview found some bright spots through the air. Ahmari Washington was a standout, hauling in 91 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Brendyn Shed added another 88 yards through clutch catches that kept the chains moving.
But the Mustangs’ 8-0 start met its match against a West Mesquite squad firing on all cylinders. The defeat marked Creekview’s first setback of the season, but one that will surely serve as a measuring stick for what’s next.
