Pieper Dominates Southwest Legacy in 63-0 Playoff Rout
Pieper continued their perfect season with a dominant 63-0 victory over Southwest Legacy in the opening round of the playoffs. The Warriors, undefeated at 11-0, put on an offensive clinic, leaving no doubt as to why they’ve been one of the top teams in the state all season.
A Masterclass from Cayden Keeth
Quarterback Cayden Keeth was once again at the center of the Warriors’ impressive performance. Keeth threw for 284 yards and five touchdowns, completing nearly 79% of his passes. His efficiency was remarkable, and he continued his streak of three or more touchdown passes in each of the last six games. Keeth also added a touchdown on the ground, showcasing his versatility and playmaking ability.
Andrew Grinestaff was another standout, hauling in two of Keeth’s touchdown passes to further contribute to the blowout. The Warriors’ offensive depth and execution were on full display, making it nearly impossible for Southwest Legacy to slow them down.
Unstoppable Defense
Not only did Pieper’s offense shine, but their defense was suffocating. The Warriors forced two fumbles during the game, with Grant Oling and Kylor Scheppler credited for forcing the turnovers. Scheppler had an exceptional game, setting a new season-high in total tackles with 10. Pieper’s defense, already one of the toughest units in the region, put constant pressure on Southwest Legacy, limiting their chances and preventing any offensive rhythm.
A Rough Night for Southwest Legacy
Southwest Legacy struggled throughout the contest, failing to find any momentum against Pieper’s relentless attack. The Titans had a difficult time holding onto the ball and couldn’t keep up with the Warriors’ high-powered offense. The loss, their fourth in the last five games, dropped their record to 7-4, a disappointing finish after a strong start to the season.
Looking Ahead for Pieper
With the win, Pieper advances to the next round of the playoffs, carrying their undefeated record with them. The Warriors have shown no signs of slowing down, and their all-around performance has made them a formidable opponent for anyone in the postseason. After dominating Southwest Legacy for four quarters, Pieper looks poised to make a deep playoff run and continue their quest for a state title.
