Waxahachie Stays Unbeaten, Blows Past Lake Ridge 63-27
Waxahachie made sure this one was decided early. The Indians jumped out to a 42-21 halftime lead and never looked back, cruising to a 63-27 win over Lake Ridge Friday night to stay perfect on the season.
Sixty-three points is a statement no matter who’s on the other side. Waxahachie’s offense simply had no off switch, piling on points from the opening whistle and turning what could have been a competitive district battle into a laugher.
The win pushes Waxahachie to a perfect 4-0. Lake Ridge falls to 2-2, still searching for its footing after a five-game winning streak dating back to last season came to an end.
Both teams jump right into conference action next. Waxahachie takes on Skyline Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Lake Ridge squares off against familiar foe Mansfield Friday at 7 p.m.
