Randle Stays Perfect, Outlasts Iowa Colony in Playoff Shootout
Playoff pressure can shake even the strongest teams, but Randle stepped into Friday night looking unfazed and walked away with another statement win. The Lions held off a determined Iowa Colony squad 45 to 35, securing their second victory of the season over the Pioneers after edging them in a September thriller.
Lions Win the Battle in the Trenches
Randle’s defensive front set an unmistakable tone. Four different Lions broke through for sacks, collapsing the pocket on quarterback Carson White and disrupting Iowa Colony’s rhythm all night. It wasn’t one superstar doing the damage, but a steady wave of pressure that forced the Pioneers to fight uphill.
Pioneers Keep Swinging
Despite the loss, Iowa Colony’s offense delivered plenty of punch. Aaron Tenner turned in a spectacular performance with one hundred twenty two rushing yards on just thirteen carries, including a jaw dropping seventy one yard burst to ignite the Pioneers. White added ninety eight yards and a rushing touchdown of his own, giving Iowa Colony a dynamic one two ground attack that refused to fade.
But every time the Pioneers surged, Randle found an answer.
Lions March On
With the victory, Randle improves to 14 and 0 and continues its push for a championship berth. Iowa Colony, now 12 and 2, saw its eight game winning streak snapped, though the Pioneers proved once again they can trade blows with any contender in the state.
Next Up
Standing between the Lions and another step toward history is a red hot Boerne team riding a twelve game winning streak. The two collide Friday at seven o’clock in what promises to be a high stakes showdown.
Randle hasn’t blinked yet this season, and with the way they’re playing, they don’t plan to start now.
