Lone Star Blanks Liberty 62-0 as Wright Throws Seven TDs
Perfect record in, perfect record out. Lone Star hammered Liberty 62-0 Friday and never eased up for a single quarter.
Trey Wright was untouchable. He threw for 274 yards and a whopping seven touchdowns, completing better than 72 percent of his passes. He has been on a heater lately, averaging 4.2 touchdown passes over his last four games compared to 2.4 in the 17 before that. Braxton Wambach was one of his top targets, catching two scores and adding 55 receiving yards.
This was no fluke for the Rangers. It marks their third win by 24 points or more this season, and it pushes them to 5-0.
Liberty’s slide continues. The Redhawks fell to 0-5 and have now lost 14 of their last 15 games dating back to last season.
