Allen Stays Perfect, Crushes Princeton 65-7
Allen stayed red hot Friday night, obliterating Princeton 65-7 in a game that was basically over by halftime, the Eagles already sitting on 51 unanswered points before the break.
It was a total team effort offensively. Lyndon Spriggs did a little bit of everything, hauling in 54 receiving yards and two touchdowns while adding 56 rushing yards and another score, his best receiving touchdown output in years. KP Jackson was even more efficient, somehow turning just five carries into 116 yards and two touchdowns.
The defense made sure Princeton never had a chance to climb back in. CJ Fields and Jeremiah Hambric each hauled in interceptions, while Hova Wilford, Travon Jones and Beckhem Parker combined for three sacks, swarming Princeton quarterback Aiden Hughes all night long.
The win pushes Allen to a perfect 5-0 on the season. Princeton falls below .500 at 2-3, still looking for its footing.
Both teams get a breather before their next test. Allen stays home to host McKinney Friday, October 9, looking to keep the perfect season rolling.
